I have just spoken to Kelly, Sarah and Harriot (Johns wife and daughters) and they all say they would love the motorbike carving as a tribute to John.

For those of you who no nothing about this the wildfowl know a guy with a chainsaw who carves things out of trees and they have asked him if he woud be able to do a motorbike for the childrens play area within the wildfowl and he says he can. This would have a plaque on it with Johns name on it and the family think it would be a fitting tribute to John as he was always trying to get children interested in the wildfowl and motorbikes.

have just been told there is a possibility that this carving might be able to take place in the car park on a bike night but the wildfowl will have to see the artist and see if things can be worked out to transport it into the park afterwards so as soon as they know if it can be done I will let you know.

I think that is a fitting tribute and a great idea
